Deep Sea Fishing in Offersøy

From March to October we invite you to an exciting deep sea fishing tour in Offersoy. You have the option of renting a boat and traveling out there on your own, or choosing to come along with one of our local skippers. They will show you the best fishing spots, where you can catch the largest cod. Furthermore you can catch salmon, pollack, haddock, cusk, redfish or mackerel. And if you get lucky, you will even catch a halibut or a wolffish. Please bring your private fishing rod if you have favourite one. Of course you also have the option of renting your fishing equipment at Offersoy.

Fishing seasons

From the 1 st of March to the 15 th of April you have the possibility to take part in the end of the Lofot fishing season. Around this time we find the Lofoten-cod spawning in the Vestfjord. In spring you can participate in the growing cod and salmon fishing season. If you arrive in summer or autumn, you’ll still be able to catch all the above-mentioned fish, as well as mackerel in July and August, and herring in late autumn.

Night fishing

In summer it is bright in the middle of the night. Going sea fishing at night is a special adventure that most people would be delighted to experience. One thing is that it’s a good time for catching fish, but seeing the sunrise behind the mountain range in the north is a memory that you will never forget. You simply have to see this....

Other useful tips

Other useful tips; we rent out very nice fishing boats, fishing equipment, swimming-overalls and much more. In the house, where the fish can be gutted and cleaned, we provide filing benches, fish boxes and containers that can be taken on board. In addition to this we offer a freezer, so that the fish you’ve caught can be frozen and taken home with you. Apart from that we sell fishing lines, jigs, various coatings for the hook, by-catch and much more in our kiosk.

Safety

Your safety is very important to us. We provide a fishing permit with important information and detailed information on wind and weather conditions. We also offer a short training on how to use the boat, including the engine and the equipment that we provide.

A lifeboat as well as our emergency line are always available for you if anything goes wrong.
